Dragana Ilic, Assistant Professor, Department of Astronomy,
Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade.
My undergraduate studies were on Astrophysics and were finished on the same Faculty, after which I did my Master studies (again in the same place) and defended a Master thesis with the title "Kinematical and physical properties of the emission regions of the active galaxy Mrk 817".
During my studies and research I have been traveling a lot to different schools and conferences, visiting other institutes and universities, out of which I would like to pull out a 6-months visit to the Department of Astronomy in Padova, which helped me a lot in the work on my PhD thesis.
I did the PhD on the physics of the broad line region in active galactic nuclei, that was defended on the University of Belgrade and University of Padova. The title of my thesis is "Plasma Diagnostics in the Broad Line Region of Active Galaxies using Emission Lines".
