  • INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL ON INFORMATION SECURITY - InfoSec 2015, July 6-10, 2015, Bilbao, Spain
    • InfoSec 2015 will be a major research training event addressed to graduates and postgraduates in the first steps of their academic career. With a global scope, it aims at updating them about the most recent advances in the critical and fast developing area of information security, which covers a large spectrum of current exciting academic research and industrial innovation. It refers to procedures to defend information from unauthorized access, use, modification, recording or destruction, with a critical role to play in order to avoid or minimize risks in the digital world.

    • Fees are a flat rate covering the attendance to all courses during the week. There are several early registration deadlines. Fees depend on the registration deadline.
  • The 1st Summer Datathon on Linguistic Linked Open Data (SD-LLOD-15), from June 15th to 19th 2015 at Residencia Lucas Olazábal of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Cercedilla, Madrid
    • The SD-LLOD datathon has the main goal of giving people from industry and academia practical  knowledge in the field of Linked Data applied to Linguistics. This datathon is the first one organized in this topic worldwide and is supported by the LIDER FP7 Support Action.
    • Participants are expected to submit a short description (no more than 500 words) of their work and the resources they plan to work with during the datathon.
    • The cost of the datathon is sponsored by the LIDER project, which includes accommodation and meals of participants. However there will be an administrative fee of 50? for registering in the datathon. A limited amount of travelling grants will be available for attendants from less-developed countries who cannot cover their trip with other funds.

    • 2nd Call for Papers - ESSLLI 2015 STUDENT SESSION
    • We invite submissions of original, unpublished work from students in any area at the intersection of Logic & Language, Language & Computation, or Logic & Computation. Submissions will be reviewed by several experts in the field, and accepted papers will be presented orally or as posters and will appear in the student session proceedings by Springer.

  • LOT Summer School in Linguistics  Leuven (Belgium) 15-26 June 2015
    • (LOT) provides introductory and advanced graduate training in linguistics. It offers 18 courses in different domains, spread over two weeks.
    • Some topics are: Syntax, Semantics/Pargmatics; Phonology/Phonetics, Bilingualism, Historical linguistics, Usage-based linguistics, Typology, Quantitative methods in linguistics, Language and education, Language and Gesture, Sign-based construction grammar;
    • Graduate students of the partner institutes of LOT can participate free of charge (tuition fees and accommodation). For other participants the tuition fees are 175 euro for one week and 300 euro for two weeks.
